Crossmuller is passionate about investing in young talent. We have over 60 apprentices across 10 different career fields. Becoming an Apprentice ot Trainee with Crossmuller enables you to gain invaluable experience, and a nationally accredited qualification, whilst getting paid to do it. Our apprenticeships and traineeships are hands-on, you will begin learning from day one and will be mentored by our highly experienced trades people and Engineers.

Career opportunities for our apprentices and trainees include Carpentry, Fitting and Machining, Boilermaking, Electrician, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Fire Sprinkler Fitting, Plumbing and Industrial Painting.

Our Recruitment Process

Step 1 – Submit your application. Please note, applications close on Friday 27 September 2019

Step 2 – Your application is received and reviewed by our Recruitment team.

Step 3 – Aptitude Testing will be conducted throughout the week commencing 30 September 2019. Our Aptitude Test allows us to assess literacy and numeracy skills of candidates. Candidates successful in progressing to this stage will be contacted and advised of testing dates.

Step 4 – Interviews will be conducted for candidates successful in progressing through to this stage throughout the weeks commencing 30 September and 7 October 2019.

Step 5 – Pre-Employment Medicals will be conducted for succesful candidates progressing through to this stage.

Step 6 – Shortlisted candidates will be notified as to the success or otherwise of their application by the end of October 2019.

Step 7 – Successful candidates will commence throughout December 2019 and January 2020

Please note, due to the high number of applications we receive for our apprenticeships & traineeships, only candidates who are shortlisted for aptitude testing will be contacted.


Useful Tips

  • Do some research to find out about each apprenticeship so you can decide which apprenticeship interests you most
  • Apply for the apprenticeship that interests you most. When applying you will be asked if you have a second preference so you don’t need to submit multiple applications
